Hi there & welcome to Annie's Place. A place inspired by and named after my late Grandmother Annie. Somewhere I can be creative, and share my love for all things handmade. I like nothing better than sitting with hook & yarn, crafting something home spun & completely unique, or rustling up some yummy baked goodies. I live in a town with a beautiful embankment, situated on the River Great Ouse. You may know me as CosyKitty on Ravelry.
Why not stop a while.....?!!
So sad to hear of the loss of your beloved kitty. We lost ours last year and guess what ... the next day we already had a new cat (found in an asylum)! It was a to big loss and too calm/quiet (and we'll never forget our beloved cat of course). Hugs, Ann
Really feel for you. We lost our beloved 'Holly Puss' after 17 years and nothing will ever replace him. Six week later we found 'Stanley' at a local shelter as we couldn't bear the house without a cat in it. We will never forget Holly but we love Stanley very much.
I am so sorry to see this. When a pet has been with us for so long it is really hard to let go. Be safe in the knowledge that Jamie had a wonderful life with you which was long and loved and will be waiting for you at Rainbow Bridge. xx
Being a huge cat and daglovers I can imagine how you feel. My grandmother always used to "put me in white light"(imaginairy) when I was sad or whenever she thought I needed some extra strengh or protection. So I'm going to send you some white light. Just discoverd your blog recently and I love the things you make. Very inspirational (sorry if my english is not al correct, I'm Dutch)
My condolences go out to you and your family. I have been a vet tech since I was 17 (I'm 60) and it's never, ever easy to let them go. I had one cat for 19 yrs. It's like losing a family member because they ARE our family!! I cried buckets for my pets over the years and even more rivers for the pets of clients that I held in their last moments. It's always a gift that we give to end suffering. I always feel that they know and are full of love and gratitude toward us for making the end easier for them. I know it doesn't make it easier for us. Many hugs and squishes as you grieve and then celebrate his beautiful life.
He was 17 years old! Impressive! I'm sure he had a good life.
