Hey hey lovely people, I'm back today to share some Candy Coloured Crochet Happiness with you. My desktop PC is conveniently situated in front of my bedroom window, where I can stare out over the River Great Ouse watching the world go by. People going about their business and youngsters rowing in fours and eights with great vigour and verve. It's super sunny today and I'm fantasising about warm summer days.
I sorted through my stash of yarn this past weekend. I came to the realisation that because I have so many odds and ends I should do something to utilise them. The jumble of colours amongst the pile were really seducing me, and I thought they would look nice worked up into a Granny cushion. So I set to it.
I thought a traditional granny square pattern would fit the brief, and as each row of colour has been added I've gotten more and more excited about the overall scheme. I started with the colour I had the least yarn available in, and worked forward from there. The randomness is really working well. There's a mix of wool, acrylic and cotton in there, and I opted for a 4mm hook.
I'm sure to have many more lovely hours playing with this over the next few days. Fitted in amongst the more mundane activities necessary to modern life. Oh to be able to dedicate more time to all things hooky related!
I shall do a proper ta-dah post as soon as I can. But before I leave you today I thought it might be nice to include a few blogs I'm thoroughly enjoying.
I have a million reasons to thank you all for your continued presence here at Annie's Place. It's nice to know you're out there still despite my sporadic posting. Do say hello...xx
See you soon xxxxx
